Designed for installation into boardroom and conference room
tables, the CNK221 has more room than the previous Cable-Nook Jr. as it
eliminates the internal AC power socket. Like the original, it provides
a simple, effective way of hiding and storing multimedia cables and
connectors. (The Cable-Nook Jr. is purchased as an empty enclosure;
cables and accessories must be ordered separately.) The cables remain
connected to a presentation system, enabling the user simple access to
them for connection to video, audio, and other media sources.
The Modular Cable-Nook Jr. uses a trap door design with a half-moon lid
that remains flush with the table when not in use. To access cables or
connectors, simply lift the trap door and pull out the ends, or plug
cables into any installed fixed connectors.
Cables are fed through the Modular Cable-Nook Jr. underneath the table,
enabling connection to the presentation system. The cables’ weight
helps feed the slack through the unit and cable ends are maintained by
an adjustable retaining bracket with rounded edges to prevent kinking;
brackets are adjustable for a variety of cable sizes, as well as shelf
height and depth.
Various insert
plates are available including power outlets, retaining brackets, fixed
pass-through connector panels and snap-in port panels. The CNK221 comes standard in a matte black finish.
